On 15th March 2011, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus issued new 500 Rublei banknotes, as well as 1,000, 10,000 and 20,000 Rublei notes dated 2000. The modified notes have the same images, sizes and colours as previous issues also dated 2000, but feature a new 2 mm wide windowed security thread.
